Accounts, Saving, and Managing Tournaments

How accounts work in Pitch Planner, how to save a tournament, and how to manage multiple tournaments.

Do I need an account?

No — you can create and manage a tournament without signing up. Anonymous tournaments are stored in your browser session.

However, an account is recommended if you want to:

  • Access your tournament from a different device or browser
  • Manage multiple tournaments in one place
  • Keep your tournaments long-term without risk of losing them if you clear browser storage

Creating an account

Click Sign In in the top navigation, then choose Create an account. You only need an email address and password — no other information is required.

Claiming an anonymous tournament

If you created a tournament before signing up, you can claim it:

  1. Sign in or create an account
  2. Open the tournament (you may need to use the original link)
  3. Click Claim this tournament in the settings

Once claimed, the tournament is tied to your account and will appear in your dashboard.

Managing multiple tournaments

Your dashboard shows all tournaments linked to your account. From there you can:

  • Open any tournament to edit it
  • See the status (draft, published, archived)
  • Create new tournaments

Deleting a tournament

Open the tournament, go to Settings, and scroll to the danger zone. Click Delete Tournament and confirm. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

Changing your email or password

Go to your account settings to update your email address or password.

Logging out

Click your name or the user icon in the top navigation and select Logout. You'll be redirected to the home page.
